Obama Joke of the day

A pretty little girl named Suzy was standing on the sidewalk in front of her home. Next to her was a basket containing a number of tiny creatures; in her hand was a sign announcing FREE KITTENS.

Suddenly a line of big black cars pulled up beside her. Out of the lead car stepped a tall, grinning man.

"Hi there, little girl, I'm President Obama. What do you have in the basket?" he asked.

"Kittens." little Suzy said, wondering why he couldn't read the sign.

"How old are they?" asked Obama.

Suzy replied, "They're so young, their eyes aren't even open yet."

"And what kind of kittens are they?"

"Democrats," answered Suzy with a smile.

Obama was delighted. As soon as he returned to his car, he called his PR chief and told him about the little girl and the kittens. Recognizing the perfect photo op, the two men agreed that the president should return the next day, and, in front of the assembled media, have the girl talk about her discerning kittens.

So the next day, Suzy was again standing on the sidewalk with her basket of "FREE KITTENS" when another motorcade pulled up, this time followed by vans from ABC, NBC, CBS and CNN. Cameras and audio equipment were quickly set up, then Obama got out of his limo and walked over to little Suzy..

"Hello, again," he said, "I'd love it if you would tell all my friends out there what kind of kittens you're giving away."

"Yes sir," Suzy said. "They're Republicans."

Taken by surprise, the president stammered, "But... but.... yesterday, you told me they were DEMOCRATS."

Little Suzy smiled and said, "I know. But today, they have their eyes open."

The Consumerist website, run by the same group behind Consumer Reports magazine, says two readers have found Apple refused to fix computers because they were smokers. Both had purchased the extended warranty Applecare package. In one case, the problems with the machine were blamed on tar residue from cigarette smoke, while in the other its not yet clear what was to blame.

However, it wasn't just the fact that smoking may have caused the damage that led to Apple to refuse to fix the machines. Instead, Apple staff reportedly claimed that fixing the machines would expose staff to the health risk from second-hand smoke.

Первым столкнулся с нестандартной проблемой житель штата Айовы: после того как его ноутбук MacBook стал перегреваться, он обратился в сервис-центр Apple за помощью. По результатам диагностики ему было отказано в дальнейшем ремонте, так как, по словам специалиста, в помещении, где использовался компьютер, часто курили и сотрудники сервис-центра не могут подвергать опасности свое здоровье, занимаясь ремонтом компьютера, компоненты которого покрыты никотиновым налетом.
Пострадавший даже написал жалобу в офис Стива Джобса, однако его письмо оставили без ответа. В итоге расстроенный владелец ноутбука, гарантия на который была действительна еще более года, сам устранил неисправность, продув внутренности ПК при помощи баллона со сжатым воздухом.
Второму несчастному, гарантия которого была аннулирована, повезло больше: хотя его компьютер Apple также не был отремонтирован, он получил более обоснованной отказ. Ему сказали, что внутренности его iMac покрыты никотиновой копотью и ремонт подобной техники попросту опасен. Поскольку в этом случае гарантия «яблочной» компании недействительна, он может отремонтировать свой ПК в любой другой компьютерной ремонтной мастерской.

I was thinking here... Everyone admires the Great Wall of China but goes apeshit when US-Mexico wall or Israel-Palestine wall is mentioned. I guess we should start burying slaves illegal aliens in it. Maybe even the "300" style, maybe then the left will shut up and it just might be a next tourist attraction.
