Indeed, and in the real world, unlike in a work of fiction, a person's last name don't signify anything important about their character. Which makes your crack about "Klaven" sounding like a Ku Klux Klan title rather stupid, if it wasn't stupid enough anyway given that Klaven's pro-Jewish stand is very unlike any position espoused by the Klan.

First of all, this doesn't change the fact that making fun of someone's name as a debating tactic is childish. Secondly, Klavan isn't a racist. Finally, your assumption that being "anti-Muslim" is somehow connected to being "pro-Jewish," and that there is something wrong with being "pro-Jewish," raher damns both (your concept of) Muslims and yourself, but I don't expect you to see why. Everyone else sees it, though.

Some of them (the ones on the Dan Simmons forums and maybe a chunk of Stormfront) actually like Jews and welcome them into their movement, others just hate Muslims more than they hate Jews.

And yes, I know the meaning of the term "Klavern." I knew all about the Ku Klux Klan, the American South's homegrown insurgency against the victorious Union, before you were even a mistake on the part of your parents, let alone hatched.
