Firefox blocked at work

A scan of your computer indicates that Firefox is installed.
We are in the process of upgrading our security and virus protection. As part of this upgrade, Firefox will no longer be supported as a standard browser and will not function once the upgraded systems are in place. If your work requires the use of Firefox, please reply to this email with business need and we will make the necessary programming changes on an individual bases to allow the proper functioning of Firefox.

Are they serious? They are forcing me to use IE for security reasons!
